Well of course Led Zeppelin wins on musical instrument ability…but the Beatles hands down wins on best influence….plus nobody, not even Elton John and Bernie Taupin, could compare to the song writing skills of Lennon and McCartney…so all around skill i think the Beatles deserve more recognition
This guy on YouTube is doing a survey. Who was more popular, Elvis or The Beatles. Simply reply in a comment stating who you think was better.
http://youtube.com/watch?v =BpxFdT7zWnQ

There is no comparison…The Beatles will always be the best
how can you even say that the there is no comparison between Elvis and The Beatles…..They were both the greatest bands of their generation…..I would have to say more people know more Elvis songs than they do Beatles songs…..Elvis not only had great songs himself, but made Gospel music a big thing….even boosting the fame of the careers of people such as Bill Gaither.
Elvis was a band?
I beg to differ, im pretty sure that more people will know Beatles songs than Elvis
The Beatles are so much better. The only time I ever hear Elvis is for Lilo and Stitch. The Beatles are everywhere (not to mention, they have taken over my iPod… I need to change that so I won't ever get tired of them!!!)
well in context yes….but just because you all dont know more Elvis songs than Beates doesnt meen that everyone else doesnt…..Im not saying the Beatles arent great Im just saying you cant count one of them out in the discusion of who is the better band (or artist)……I love the Beatles but I have about as many songs on my Ipod of the Beatlse as a I do Elvis…..
Weel I am Egyptian And i think the Beatles Are the Greatest Musicians In the 20th Centurey
I think the Beatles were better simply because they explored more dimensions of music and made more experimentations than Elvis. But on the social side, it's much harder, simply because both caused a revolution in the behaviour, dreams and ideals of an entire generation. Hence it's sort of difficult to tell. I guess that they are just very hard to compare.
greatest band ever! Hi, Glad to be here.
The Beatles rock my world! John Lennon is the sexiest man who ever lived.
I've been to Liverpool and I've seen Paul in concert twice.
You have to give Elvis credit.
"Before Elvis there was nothing." - John Lennon
Andrea - I fully believe that it is impossible to get tired of the Beatles. There is so much diversity.
Before Elvis there was Hank Williams!
Elvis injected the drugs into Hank Williams that killed him…..then Elvis did some himself, therefore making Elvis more badass.
I love the group's title. It's so very true.
BEATLES ARE THE BEST
Elvis…ewwwwwwwwww I thaught this was a beatles thing .The beatles music is like fine poetry in that it s awesome and it will be treasured for ever.
id kill a man to see paul mccartney. when he came to philly he apparently did almost all beatles songs. i need to see him next time he comes. if he comes…
Wow Logan, I Can't Understand What Was The Problem With What John Lennon Said Was, The Beatles Were More Popular Then Jesus, Christianty Is One Belief System On This God Damn Planet Get Over Yourselfs, And Stop With The 3rd Grader Remarks Because I'm Not Much Older Then That
And Sorry Ricky For Dragging This On But I'm Too Stubborn To Ever Let Someone Like This Logan Character Get The Last Word
well
my favorite beatle's song has to be….
Elenor Rigby
My favorite Jon lennon son is
watching the wheel go round
and my favorite beatle's movie is…
hard days night
just thought i whould share lmao
Ok dylan, since you so stubborn and immature…ill be the bigger pesron and drop the argument, just talk about the beatles and not the "Bigger than Jesus" thing
Alright man, this group is about the beatles, a peaceful, loving, chill band and of course, one of the greatest of all times. Why are you guys arguing, show some love and make the hippie happy
Im ok with that but when some idiot starts making smartass remarks im not just going to sit there and say nothing
John lennon was the beast beatles.
♥John Lennon
It must be hard to type capitalizing every first letter of every word…
Yes Susan, I was thinking the same.
Okay so those Led Zeppelin fans think they're great because they have the biggest music group on wikisingers. I'm starting up a Beatles group to pass them. They've got 13,000 already so everyone invite all your friends!
I hope you are not implying that Led Zeppelin isn't a good band.
they are a good band…its just the beatles deserve more recognition than Led Zeppelin
That is true
look I am a huge Beatles Fan, but they sure as hell do not deserve more recognition than Led Zeppelin
i have almost every song in the beatles discography, but I am still discovering new songs. I recently heard Real Love for the first time. I can't believe i missed out on such an awesome song! Did they release this in the 90s? I saw the videoclip and it seems that Jeff Lynne is in there, so he must have helped them like he has done in the past. I am glad George was able to form part of this. I wish John and George were still alive.
Are we comparing Led Zeppelin and The Beatles on playing ability or the influence they've had?
They're both amazing, but The BEATLES get more recognition because nobody had heard anything like it in the mainstream music scene and so it really revolutionised the way music developed as a whole.
Anyone else had an artistic orgasm at the Cirque du Soleil's "Love"?

Hello friends,
I've just come back from an amazing week in Liverpool, during the International Beatles Week. I met some wonderful people like Allan Williams, Julia Baird (John's half-sister), Sam Leach (their first promoter) and Rory and Cheryl Best, Pete's brother and sister-in-law.
I honestly feel, having been up there, that you can't really call yourself a true fan if you haven't visited, because the people and the songs make so much more sense when you actually see the places that inspired them.
If you do go up, you must, repeat MUST go to the Casbah Club as it really is the only authentic
Beatles' place left (aside from maybe some of the pubs such as the Grapes and Ye Crack, where Pete drowned his sorrows after being fired).
The Liverpudlians are also a wonderful bunch of people and very hospitable. To them, the Beatles were just a bunch of local lads who made good and it is refreshing to see them as normal people, instead of the legends they've all become.
Claude that is soooo awesome.

sexy sadie has to be favorite…for obious reasons..
..i was going to join another beatles group because in the description it said to join if you wanted to meet a sexy girl named sadie, but then i realized it was out of my network or whatever…so now im here
Even though my favorite is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, all the songs are great and its too hard to narrow it down to one song……
I don't know about that one. Here comes the sun is out there pretty far.
what? If any song is "way out there" its either Hey Jude or Revolution….their two best selling singles.h
Ahh so weird i loveeeee IN MY LIFE…and was just listening too it….i love the beatles…….Ahhhh i can qoute so many of their great songs and some of the not swo great oness.. AHHH there SO AWESOME!!!!
Golden Slumbers is probably my favourite Beatles song … xxox
All you need is LOVE! How true! Love the Beatles. Miss Charles Rosenay doing the Beatles Conventions. Going to see Tribute 1964 in June…
Every song of The Beatles I have listened to are great, but my favorite has to be "Daytripper". I don't know why but I do!
I must agree with you….but I think it's a tie between In My Life and Here Comes the Sun. Those two are absolutely awesome!
I Actually Like Day Tripper More With Jimi Hendrix and The Beatles
To all fellow Beatles fans, you need to go see LOVE in Vegas. I saw it last week and it absolutely blew my mind and made me an even bigger Beatles fan than I already was.
"Christianity will go. It will vanish and shrink. I needn't argue with that; I'm right and I will be proved right. We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first - rock 'n' roll or Christianity. Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me."
john lennon said that…so much for love…
Yo, Just Shut Up Mel
dude whats your problem? everytime someone says somethin about the "Bigger than Jesus" thing you get all defensive….grow up….if you have an issue with it then say something constructive and not something that sounds like a 3rd grader just said it.
For being all for love, you guys sure do disagree and fall into conflict alot. Come on guys, these are all opinions. For a refresher…opinions are at the opposite end of the list from fact.
i wish i could meet paul mccartney before he dies of old age…
Haha … well … you could always try what Michelle does and start a beatles cult in the back of your closet. haha michelle! xxox
He still does concerts doesnt he? he doesnt do like many beatles songs but like when he was with the wings and stuff….still it would be a good concert
Well I Like It
Wow, have we all forgotten the name of this group. Let's stay together and stay focussed, not to mention that the title (aka:love thy neighbour) is the message that all the great's in our past have preached ie: Ghandi, God Krishna, Confusius, The Buddha, Jesus Christ, and oh ya, some guy by the name of John Lennon was pretty fond of that message too.
Sorry I Have A Strange Amusement With Pissing People Off In wikisingers Groups
its funny how you can even put John Lennon in the same category as Jesus….just becaues he preached love thy neighbor does not meen his other views were not ones that would be considered "Godly"…..John Lennon might be as popular but dont put them in the same category…..
Again, "Wow!" I just don't get why you guys can't get past this! There must be better things/groups for you guys to be involved in (maybe religious debate). Another reminder, this is a Beatle's fan club!
shutup Kurt….this is practicaly a debate over the Beatles….what else do you want to hear on this group? other than 50 people who just get on and say "I love the Beatles, they are my favorite band"….we know your a beatles fan, thats why you joined the group….if you have a problem with the debate then say something about the beatles other than saying how stupid we are for debating over this…..
For me personally, it's hard to let something go when someone says something as blasphemous as the comment that was previously made. We all agree that the Beatles are awesome, but to compare anyone to Jesus is insane. NO-one could possibly compare to Him.
Wel, to get back to the purpose of this group… has anyone seen "The U.S. vs. John Lennon" yet? Any thoughts…
no i havent seen it but i really want to….have you seen it yet?
I haven't seen it yet, but I have it on my Netflix list of movies. After I watch it, I'll report back!
In response to Logan's last comment, I feel an obligation to respond, but it will be my last posting (except maybe to state how I love the Beatles). Logan, I did not put John Lennon in the same catagory as Jesus Christ, if you read my posting carefully, you would have noticed that I simply made the correlation between the message that John Lennon and the other "greats"' in our past have made. I did not claim John Lennon's actions/views to be "Godly" as you stated. Secondly, thank you for the personal attack, telling me to "shut-up" gives me an idea of the mentality/maturity of the person I'm dealing with. There is well over a thousand people in the group, and thus far comments on the wall were simply stating how they love the Beatles and the impact the Beatles have made in their lives. For most of us, a compliment is enough!
In conclusion, I would never state someone is "stupid" but your ignorant comments have already given you that label without me having to point out the obvious
wow did i ever miss a heated debate. thanks kurt for sending me the link to this club… i to am a bit beatles fan and i did go back to the start of this little scrap between you 2 and i did read kurts comment and i have to agree with kurt that he never said john was godly or anything like that. all he did was compare them in the sense that they were sending the message of love and peace jsut like the others he mentioned in that comment. now lets move on and talk about the beatles and any cool and interesting stuff people may know or have about the beatles. i have downloaded tons of beatles concerts and clips and stuff.
I saw the U.S. versus John Lennon… it was eye opening… a bit lengthy but really captures John and Yoko's political side as "Peaceniks" and sheds a LOT of light on the problems they faced with deportation at that time.
OMG i'm obsessed w/ the beatles.
Me and my brother been listening to The Beatles practically ever since we were born! They ROCK!!! I wish the kids in high school wouldn't have picked on us because we like The Beatles
why would they pcik on you for liking the most influencial rock group of the century……its a hell of a lot better than that gay rap music, i dont think i would even call that crap music……
my favorite would have to be "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds"
Everybody seems to think I'm lazy….I don't mind, I think they're crazy..
