I’ve been waiting for this day ever since I was a little tyke. Having never seen the band live, there has been a void in my life. Like most people who grew up with the Police we thought this day would never come again. The news of their upcoming reunion for the Grammys and the potential North American tour to follow has made me weak at the knees. I’ve seen my drumming hero, Stewart Copeland, perform a few times with Oysterhead and his World Music travelling circus, but words cannot express how excited I am to hear the news that THE POLICE are back. Sting, please do not fuck this up! WHO ELSE IS WITH ME?

NATIVE TONGUE, a Garage /Alt / Post Punk/ Whatchamacallit / Power trio with a creative urge to write music of uber quality within a 3 piece format as popularised by The Police, Kings X and Billy Sheehan’s rise, Talas

The band comprises of three obscure dreamers, Baba, Joel & Benhur, Scratching a brainwave from the artistry of acts such as India’s Thermal and a Quarter, gutsy Irish boys, Sting & U2, Commercial American folk rockers , The Dave Matthews Band and Seattle Grunge Pioneers, Pearl Jam.

Other influences of the band are Green Day, Steely Dan , The Killers, Dire Straits, Van Halen, The Red Hot Chili Peppers , Jimi Hendrix ,Foo Fighters, Delirious? and Mr.Big

A celebration of the triumphant return of The Police (Sting, Stewart Copeland, and Andy Summers) that was begun at the 49th annual Grammy awards and shall continue until their GOOD music holds sway over the large amount of crap that comes out these days (See mary j blige’s at least 2 grammys and anything justin timberlake has ever produced)

Since 2001 No Ones Arc has been giving the South African audience a fresh new look on local music, they showcase an older rock blues style with the African beat. Using a new feel and bringing forward a different blend in South African Music! These four friends’ love for music has been tested by the general public and they push through playing the music they know will be the next big hit in S.A music. The inspiration for N.O.A comes from a wide range of international bands like Dave Matthew’s Band, Spin Doctors, Pearl Jam, Sting, Jamiroquai and Hendrix.

Based In Nelspruit - South Africa, the band has been moving up the local venue lists. Blue Moon in Nelspruit was rated the second best venue in the country and has been a loyal supporter for them since the very beginning.

The Kingfisher Rocktoberfest enters into its 4th year - the agenda is pretty simple - to make Delhi Rock all through October! heh heh!

A series of 7 gigs are planned in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon. The festival kicks off on Sunday, 7th Oct at Lodi with performances by Hypnosis and SOULMATE.

A couple of fresh new acts from Kolkatta and Mumbai will grace the Delhi stage for the first time during the festival. Something Relevant is probably Mumbai’s best kept secret…a young band that has been influenced by bands like Phish and Sting and play music in a similar vein.

The main composer, lyricist and lead singer of the group Pyx Lax , the most successful group ever in Greece .

After the band split in 2004 , he released a personal album titled “ Ti Den Emathe o Theos”( What God Didn’t Learn ) in 2005 , “ Taxidevondas me alo iho” ( live by rock band and a Symphonic orchestra) in 2006 and “ OMNIA” in 2007 which reached gold and platinum sales .

His discography begins in 1990 and has 12 platinum and 3 gold records to his credit.

This success is reflected also to his concerts both in Greece and abroad ( UK , Germany , USA , Canada ).

His music is a mixture of rock and traditional Greek music, but very often he includes classical forms to his songs. His lyrics, with a clear poetic disposition are sometimes inspired by love and other times have a strong social character that reflects various places of our planet.

Hailing from Temple, Texas Flyleaf has shown what a rock band can do with a female lead. Singer Lacey Mosley is 4’10” of unadulterated vocal muscle that can stand toe to toe with the most brooding male rock singer. Lacey’s voice combined with Flyleaf’s message of overcoming even the most disheartening, pain-filled, dysfunctional situation makes for an unrivaled musical experience.
